Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disorder in the body that causes inflammation and creates a wide range of signs and symptoms. It is a painful condition. Systemic it erythematosus is probably the most common form of this condition, and it can potentially involve any primary organ system of the body.

Different symptoms

The first signs and symptoms vary from patient to patient. Some people have some mild symptoms, while others have severe cases that can keep them from working.

Experts and scientists still don’t entirely understand why some people have more signs of lupus than others.

Reason for which the disease can be difficult to identify is that some of its most common symptoms, like fatigue, headaches, joint pain, swelling, and fever, occur in a lot of other illnesses. It is a disease that can imitate blood disorders, fibromyalgia, diabetes, thyroid problems, and more.

So, how to recognize the signs of lupus? How to know?

One of the very early symptoms that can be indicative of lupus is a photosensitive rash, meaning a rash that develops if you are in response to sun exposure, particularly on the face and the upper arms.

Other early symptoms are sudden fever and pain, swelling, and stiffness of multiple joints in the body, inflammation of the kidneys, bones, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and the brain.

Hair loss is a common symptom of many conditions, including the stress. And sometimes lupus.

However, if you notice that your hair seems to be falling out, it might be a sign of this disease.  Usually, balding from it is temporary, and hair starts to grow back during a period of remission.

Phases of development

Studies show that there are three phases of development of lupus: the first, asymptomatic phase, the second phase of benign autoimmunity, and the third phase, when more ominous autoantibodies are present, leading to symptoms of lupus and diagnosis.

Lupus is a severe medical condition that can affect anyone. So, if you’re maybe experiencing any of these symptoms, you should consider contacting your doctor.
