All we do is manicures and nail polishing, but to maintain healthy and strong nails, people should include foods that are rich in vital nutrients. The best foods for your nails are all healthy things you likely already have in your kitchen. Calcium and vitamin B are essential for healthy nails. So if you have dry, brittle nails that break easily, you know how distressing it can be, get in the kitchen and contribute your health.

Eggs

Protein in eggs is highly digestible and efficiently taken up by the body, and they also contain B12, vitamins A and E and iron that are known to increase fingernail thickness.

Dark leafy greens- spinach, broccoli, and kale

Lean meats-turkey, chicken, and beef

Protein in meats that helps build strong muscles also does wonders for your fingernails, because they are made out of protein. If you have a problem with brittle them, the first thing you can try is adding more proteins to your diet and eating lean meats like beef and pork will keep nails in tip-top shape.

Fruits and berries – strawberries, blueberries, and bananas

Fruits are an easy and delicious way to get lots of nutrients and vitamins in your diet. Antioxidants in berries and other fruits help protect your body’s cells against free radical damage that increases stress hormones and inflammation, which impacts all cells in the hair and nails. The highest antioxidant properties have blueberries, strawberries, and kiwis, which also have high levels of Vitamin C.  Dried apricots and bananas are rich in vitamin A and B6.
